Prior to the release of our AW17 range we held an exclusive press event in Central London to celebrate the launch of our exciting new collections, including ‘The Future is Female’. Bloggers, journalists and fashion editors from publications including The Sunday Times and OK magazine attended the event which was held at No 19 Greek Street – a Victorian townhouse which is nestled amongst Soho’s famous private members’ clubs, bars and shops – on June 21.
Attendees were treated to Autumn/Winter themed cocktails, manicures inspired by the collections on display and gift boxes, which included a ‘The Future Is Female’ slogan t-shirt to take home. The event was live streamed on our social media sites and attracted a positive response from our followers who were given a sneak peak at our new collections before they hit the shelves. Make sure you’re following us on Instagram and Facebook to be in the know!
The Future is Female
The Future is Female collection celebrates the concept of the ’female boss’ and represents a new fashion-forward direction for the brand. Think 80s power dressing brought up to date with 2017 styling.
Speaking about the collection, the Peacocks Head of Design Dani Rabaiotti said: “You can’t ignore the political movement, what does our future look like? Feminist activity surrounds us every day. Needless to say, the future is female.”
The collection consists of structural shapes, graphic tees with defining messages and block brights and leopard print make a powerful statement for tailoring this season. Bold trouser suits in Prince of Wales checks are matched against scarlet red to create a dramatic contrast.
The Future Is Female t shirt is now available to buy online for £10 in sizes 8-20
The key elements of this collection are checks, florals, femininity and androgyny. The beautiful palette is based on what you might find in your spice cupboard. Bringing country chic to whole new level. Texture is key for fall as chunky oversized knitwear is teamed with faux fur trims and chambray. The Crafted Country collection consists of earthy tones with accents of indigo blue. Fair Isle knits are worn with heritage checks that are reminiscent of a Britain gone by.
Despite the connotations of the name, Winterfell is probably the most feminine collection this season. Chiffon frills and floral prints are worn with distressed and embellished denim to create an ultra-feminine collection. The soft colour palette and intricate lace create an ethereal tone to the range. Combining lace blouses, satin ruffles, sequins and beautiful feminine prints it’s sure to satisfy even the girliest tastes.
Bloomsbury sees a soft update on the Bohemian inspired look for AW17 with contrasting texture and print playing a key role. Silk blouson sleeved blouses with neck tie detailing are a recurring feature in the collection whilst printed midi dresses in sheer fabrications are layered with shearling outerwear and patent accessories – ideal for day to night dressing going into the party season.
